Odaily Editorial Team Tea Talk (July 8)
This is an "informal" column from the Odaily editorial team. The authors share their immediate thoughts and different perspectives on industry news, data, hot events, and their nuances; they explore investment ideas and opportunity hypotheses that are still under validation—these may not necessarily be direct wealth codes, but could simply be the questions themselves; they share observations gained from interactions with industry practitioners; as well as materials that have genuinely enhanced our understanding, whether from internal or external sources.
The content of this column is based on the real investment and observation experiences of Odaily editorial team members, and does not accept any form of commercial advertising, nor does it constitute investment advice (after all, we are equally experienced in losing money). Its purpose is merely to broaden perspectives and supplement information sources, rather than to create consensus.

Share: 1. The US and Korean stock markets have corrected, with the correction magnitude even greater than the 20%-25% mentioned last week, approaching 30%. Although industry analysis suggests that the memory speculation cycle has passed and a wave of cloud vendor speculation is expected, regarding the cooperation between Changxin and Apple, I believe that DRAM is still in a phase of supply being less than demand, and I tend to think that memory stocks are currently in a deep squat phase.
Predicting the market and following the bets has actually resulted in losses; I made a small profit on my own bets. I can only say that one still cannot bet blindly, including the matches between Argentina and Cape Verde, and Argentina and Egypt. Although the strong teams ultimately won, the performance of the weaker teams was even more commendable. It can only be said that maximizing the commercial interests of referees and FIFA is the eternal theme of the World Cup. Therefore, I am more optimistic about France winning the championship; the previously mentioned prediction to buy France at 10 U has already doubled.
STRC briefly returned above 90 before dropping again. Currently, I still tend to short crypto concept stocks, especially the target of DAT Financial; Circle and Coinbase are targets for rebound speculation.
The software sector in the US stock market has performed well recently, including Microsoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow. It is still uncertain whether this is a dead cat bounce or a genuine return to fundamentals.

- I played the World Cup-related prediction market twice, and it feels even harder than memes. One can try not to buy in before the match; if you are optimistic about a certain team, you can wait for opportunities during the match to buy in.

Share: 1. Continuing to pay attention to the US stock market, first and foremost is the major correction in the semiconductor sector, with the biggest uncertainty being whether the giants will maintain capex. Friday's listing of SK Hynix in the US may serve as a short-term emotional relief point, but in the medium to long term, we still need to see how the giants plan their subsequent capex in this quarter's financial reports. Personally, I lean towards the view that market demand will not change and will consider increasing positions on dips (focusing on DRAM).
- A potential rotation signal: since October last year, hedge funds have once again concentrated their purchases in tech stocks, which could be worth following up.
- The stock sale window for RKLB's founder will officially close today, and the stock price also fell back to the initial reduction point last night. I will continue to increase my position. The volatility space for this small rocket at this position is limited downward, while the upward elasticity is sufficiently imaginative.
