Advasa and INTMAX: Pioneering the Future of Earned Wage Access with Quantum Resilience Technology at WebX2026
At WebX2026, a collaborative talk was held between Advasa Holdings, which operates Earned Wage Access (EWA) services, and INTMAX, which is developing next-generation blockchain infrastructure. The discussion focused on the shared challenges both companies face, the blockchain foundation that meets the needs for low cost, speed, and privacy protection, and the quantum resilience technology that INTMAX is working on.
Social Issues Addressed by Earned Wage Access
The session began with remarks from Advasa Holdings CEO Grady Ryther.

For many people around the world, wages are not just income; they are the very foundation that supports daily life, including rent, food, transportation, education, and unexpected family expenses. However, in many countries, even wages that have already been earned cannot be accessed until the designated payday. This creates a cash flow gap between the days worked and the payday. For some, this is merely an inconvenience, but for others, it can become a serious financial burden, forcing them to rely on high-cost financial services such as high-interest loans and credit cards. Our belief is that individuals should have access to the compensation for their labor when they need it, which is the core idea behind Earned Wage Access (EWA).
Immediate Access and Global Expansion Challenges Realized by Fukupe

Through our service "Fukupe," Advasa Holdings has built an infrastructure that allows employees to access their already earned wages immediately without waiting for payday. It seamlessly integrates with existing HR and payroll systems, enabling payments via bank transfers, digital wallets, and prepaid cards. This is not just a payment service; it is a means to enhance financial well-being. By receiving wages at the right time, unnecessary borrowing can be avoided, leading to reduced financial stress. For companies, it allows them to support employees without financial burdens or disruptions to operations, which is particularly beneficial in industries with high turnover rates.
However, when trying to deliver such services globally beyond Japan, the challenges become significantly larger. Supporting millions of workers in markets like Southeast Asia and the Middle East, where financial inclusion is still developing, requires infrastructure that is low-cost, fast, and scalable. Since payroll data is particularly sensitive among personal financial information, privacy protection is also essential. Existing payment and remittance infrastructures may struggle to meet these requirements in the future, and if not designed with the future in mind, companies may have to rebuild their systems in a few years. The shared awareness that financial infrastructure should not only serve institutional investors but also provide fair, rapid, and secure access to funds for every individual was what prompted the dialogue between INTMAX and Advasa.
INTMAX's Vision for a "Near-Zero Fee" Privacy Protection Foundation
Next, INTMAX's co-founder Mai Fujimoto explained how their technology addresses challenges related to cost, speed, scalability, privacy, and security.

I believe the true value of privacy lies in its accessibility to everyone. However, today’s public blockchains face the issue of rising fees as the number of users increases, making them not universally usable. That’s why I founded INTMAX. At INTMAX, even with global usage, fees remain nearly zero, and we are looking towards a world where billions of people and AI can be utilized everywhere. This technology has received support from many Ethereum researchers and developers, including Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum.
Wages are among the most private and important forms of money. They should never be delayed or stopped. What EWA requires are three things: low cost, instant payment, and privacy. Until now, blockchain technology has not been able to achieve all three simultaneously, but we have solved that problem. Therefore, I believe our collaboration with Advasa is crucial for the future of financial infrastructure.
The Threat of Quantum Computers: "Q Day" and the Bursar Project
Finally, co-founder Reona Hioki elaborated on INTMAX's quantum resilience technology.

Today, I want to talk about the plans being advanced by Bursar and INTMAX. The sole purpose is to protect Asian assets and systems from the threat of quantum computing. Have you heard the term "Q Day"? I don’t think many people are aware of it yet. If quantum computing succeeds in breaking existing encryption, it will have serious implications for the internet, blockchain, and our daily lives and assets. Some say it will happen in five years, while others say fifteen. The exact timeline is uncertain, but one thing is clear: we need to upgrade our systems as soon as possible. There are two reasons for this. First, there is a possibility that attackers can already decrypt messages at this point. If quantum computing becomes practical in five or fifteen years, it may be said that the messages we are currently exchanging are already under attack. Second, there is a pressing need to significantly upgrade the entire IT system of society, including protocols that support AI, robotics, and especially the Asian supply chain. Rather than suffering from the same issues in five or ten years, I believe we should implement quantum-resistant systems now.
This is not just a plan; I want to show you something that is already in motion. Our current system is already post-quantum compliant, minimizing gas fees, and has nearly unlimited scalability. At the same time, it achieves privacy and instant finality, making it a fast protocol. Post-quantum systems have many requirements, but we achieve this speed by highly optimizing the cryptographic aspects. Our collaboration should create significant differences not only in the field of technology but also in society. I believe this partnership marks the beginning of an initiative that will impact society. The goal is not to create mockups or papers.
