Removal of the phrase 'The Falkland Islands are Argentine' from buses and trains

Bus drivers and union representatives have reported that several companies have begun to remove the stickers and signs bearing the phrase 'The Falkland Islands are Argentine', which is mandatory by law. They claim that this measure also affects some train services, communicated through internal directives. Testimonies from drivers of various lines, including several from the DOTA Group, indicate that they have received instructions to remove maps and flags related to Argentina's sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. Delegates stated that these instructions are also being implemented on some trains, although there has been no official communication regarding this. The alleged order is said to have arisen after a match of the Argentine national team against England, where the players displayed a flag with the same inscription. So far, national authorities have not made any statements, except for the director of DOTA, Marcelo Pasciuto, who denied that this is a deliberate decision, stating that worn logos are being replaced with new ones. Law 27.023 establishes that all public transport must display the inscription in a visible location. If the removal is confirmed, it could conflict with this legislation, generating a strong debate among transport workers and political sectors.
