On the "Single Window for International Trade" portal, a service has been launched to search for solutions from the customs administrations of EU countries regarding the tariff classification of goods. This service will help businesses verify product codes against European practices before customs clearance. It refers to the Binding Tariff Information (BTI) decisions made by the customs administrations of EU member states. These decisions contain descriptions of goods and justifications for their tariff classification. Correctly determining the product code is crucial for businesses, as it affects duty rates and customs legislation requirements. The new service allows users to search for decisions by number, issuance period, country, product code, keywords, and product characteristics. Users can view the product description, its code, and the justification for the tariff classification in the original language. The State Customs Service notes that access to the practices of EU countries will help importers, exporters, and logistics companies better prepare for foreign economic operations and reduce the risk of disputes during customs clearance.
